Terms of Use

Last updated 5 November 2026

1. Adults only

You must be 18 or older to use Yellajob. By signing up you confirm you are. We may ask you to verify your age and may suspend accounts that aren't.

2. What Yellajob is

Yellajob is a platform that connects job seekers with businesses using voice recordings. We aren't the employer or a recruitment agency, and we don't guarantee any job, interview or hire.

3. If you're hiring

  • Have a valid, active ABN.
  • Post accurate job information.
  • Pay in line with Australian law, including Fair Work minimums.
  • Don't post discriminatory jobs.
  • Never ask applicants for money, fees, bank details or ID documents.

4. If you're looking for work

Be truthful about yourself and treat businesses with respect.

5. Acceptable use

No harassment, hate speech, explicit content, scams or pretending to be someone else, in recordings or interview details.

6. Your recordings

You own your recordings. You let us transcribe and process them, and store and share the text, only as needed to run Yellajob, for example sharing what you said in your application with the business you applied to. We delete the audio once it's been written down, and never share it.

7. Reports and moderation

You can report a job, an applicant or an interview. If several people report a job, we hide it while we check it. We may remove content, review flagged jobs and suspend accounts that break these terms.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Me (or Business) tab. We then delete your profile, recordings, transcripts, applications and interviews, as described in our Privacy Policy. Accounts nobody has logged into for 2 years are deleted too, after a warning email 30 days before.

9. The legal bits

Price. Yellajob is free for job seekers. Businesses can use it free for their first 3 months from sign-up. We may start charging businesses after that, but we'll tell you the price at least 30 days before, and we'll never charge you unless you agree to pay.

Yellajob is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we aren't liable for losses from using it. Nothing here removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. We may update these terms and will let you know about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
